Help with Fibromyalgia
As an athlete in my youth, I was a competitive high diver and swimmer and solo synchronized swimming artist. I expected to keep up the activities and enthusiasm I had enjoyed since high school and college.
But after 25 years of suffering with Fibromyalgia, and then being diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis, this former "Most Athletic Girl" was suffering. Chronic pain, extreme discomfort. lack of energy and difficulty sleeping led to a sedentary lifestyle on heating pads and ice packs!
So it was truly a red letter day when I found Leslie Sisto, LMT. She was recommended by my trusted chiropractor who has been caring for me for many years. Now I see them both together. As a result of Leslie's continuing treatments, my pain is less disruptive and more manageable; my circulation has improved; I’m more limber, back in the lake and on the golf links.
I feel less stressed, happier and more peaceful in my relationships. I still have days when my earrings feel too heavy, still “flare” sometimes, but Leslie's many years of medical massage experience ease my way each week. Leslie Sisto is a remarkably gifted massage therapist. Her skills and numerous techniques made a big difference in the pre- and post-surgery recovery of my frozen shoulder. A multi-car accident left me with double whiplash, herniated discs and body sprains. Leslie's knowledge of the body and deep tissue work have been so important to my healing process. Both of my little dogs came to me through rescue, each with their own special needs. He's missing both back feet and she had poorly developed musculature and other undiagnosed physical trauma.
